About this event

Recent regulatory developments in China are raising questions for companies conducting human rights due diligence in Chinese supply chains. New measures concerning supply chain security, the application of foreign laws and countermeasures against foreign entities have created uncertainty about how companies can carry out supplier assessments, audits and other due diligence activities.

In March and April 2026, China introduced Decrees No. 834 and No. 835. In August, six US entities involved in supporting multinational companies' supplier due diligence were placed on China's countermeasure list. These developments raise important questions for Danish companies operating in or sourcing from China.

Together with Christina Bøtker Siegumfeldt, ESG and Corporate Sustainability Adviser at the Danish Embassy in Beijing, we will explore what these developments mean in practice.

Meet the Speaker:

Christina Bøtker Siegumfeldt
ESG and Corporate Sustainability Adviser at The Danish Embassy in Beijing
– Dialogue with the Danish Embassy in Beijing

Christina will provide an introduction to the recent developments, followed by an open discussion and Q&A.

The meeting offers an opportunity to gain insight into the evolving regulatory situation and exchange perspectives on the practical challenges companies may face.
